I was recently given a box of old tools, & I can not identify this item..
The slots in the rotating drum indicate some type of bender / puller ? & the other side has a set of pincher type cutters.. any ideas? *????*

Its a strapping machine Wozza. You know that flat strap they use to bundle up stuff.
An old one though, havent seen one quite like it before.

Nah, that's a camel castrator.

Would suggest the tape goes into one of the slots in the crossed slotted end short shaft (struggling to describe the part as you can tell)

Hate those things. Use mine very infrequently and so can never remember which way the strap goes in the machine. Usually end up getting it wrong with the result the cutter cuts the strap before the crimp instead of after and I have to have another go. End up with a pile of wasted strap and crimps for every successful tie.

Thanks Gentlemen... looks like a strapping tape doer upper it shall be.. *wink2*
GB... I knew it wasn't a castrate machine.. Dont they use a razor blade & a good set of teeth. *shh* *doh*

I'm glad you asked me that. They actually use two house bricks slammed together. "Doesn't that hurt?"; you ask. Not if you keep your thumbs clear.

Work out a way to use it as a tie down for the Beeza.
Not that it will ever be in a trailer.
Cheers
