Title: Semi unit crankshaft oil seal
Post by: manxman on 29.12. 2019 14:37
Is the 67-0674 oil seal correct for 1951-1953  A10  semi unit plunger motors ?.  My parts book list no seal !!

As wiser men have told me, the early plunger A10s didn't have seal here, just an oil slinger listed in the parts book as:
67-349 Bearing Shim

I received help on this very subject in a thread titled Plunger A10 assembly

There was a recommendation to machine the case to accept a seal if it was torn down.  Good advice, but due to circimstances I wasn't able to take advantage of it.  I hope that this is helpful.  Someone more knowledgeable than I will probably be able to offer more.

Yes it fooled me. Mine is a 53 A10 but it has an oil seal where I wasn’t expecting it. Apparently the model year changed around September/October and mine has a later engine. Numbers are correct though.
