Title: Apologies another oil thread - A10 query
Post by: MickFarmer64 on 28.06. 2020 12:52
Hi all,

Apologies for yet another oil thread. I've gone through the manual which seems to contradict itself slightly and get lost in the maze of oil discussions.

With being new to Brit bikes I've got a million and one things wizzing round in my old head, so I just want to make sure I'm doing right. I'm sure they'll be a million and one opinions but I'd appreciate a little guidance please.

I'm going to change the oil in the engine, gearbox and primary.

As I'm trying wherever possible to buy British, I'm going to use Morris Lubricants. As such, I'm thinking of using the following

For the Primary

For the Gear Box & Engine

Thoughts and comments much appreciated

I use Morris SAE40 for the engine. EP90 in the gearbox and ATF in the primary.

Having different oils helps to identify what's leaking.

I use Morris Golden Film SAE40 for engine but Westway Lubricants Classic SAE20 for primary case. Westway are quick to deliver, it's cheaper, currently £20.99 for 5L with free postage.

I also use Westway Classic EP 80W/90 GL4 for gearbox, currently £19.99 for 5L with free postage.
