Title: New to this forum!
Post by: r3sc on 14.09. 2020 11:28
Hi Guys,

I’m brand new to this forum and after many years of spanner work on late 60’s to early 80’s Japanese iron I now find that I’ve moved on to certain things British!👍🏻

Based centrally in Sheffield, I still like the Japanese bikes, but now I’m retired I am finding that I need to extend my knowledge towards the Brits and the A10 in particular so I look forward to testing the wide knowledge base that you all have on this forum.

Many thanks for having me.

Regards.

*welcome* well knock me down with a feather, I never knew you had to do spanner work on a japanese bike *grins*. I think you will find one of these beasts will involve more spanner work and a lot of swear words coupled with the odd beer or eight *beer* but they are good- dare I say most of the time *shh* . ps is wizard still open I am building a featherbed bitsa and would like to find some 70's - 80's running gear from ------yes japanese bikes. all the breakers seem to have gone on line and I want to pick things up from a shelf or the floor and try them out

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the welcome.

In response to Berger, I think there is something like a shop still under the Wicker arches but if it is still there it doesn’t bear any resemblance to the Wizards that both you and I remember from years ago.

Could I suggest that if you’re looking for Japanese hardware, DK might be your best bet. Not the cheapest but they do have the stock.

Regards

G'day r3sc  *welcome*
You haven't said which model you have. Pics, we love pics *ex*
1st thing to purchase is a w/shop manual (but don't believe everything you read). Most of the service sheets can be downloaded https://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?board=17.0  I recently purchased all the service sheets in book form. Very handy to have in the shed. https://tinyurl.com/y6zqor9q
Cheers

you'll need different spanners... the same bricks and hammers work though

Welcome r3sc. You'll need lots of patience, if that doesn't work - a Big hammer!
