Hi all, hope everyone is ok and bearing up under the current unpleasantness.
it's been a while since I've posted here as I've been snowed under at work, but managed to get a look in the garage today, and a think about starting to strip the old girl down again, but went out for a ride instead. Yay!
Anyway, it needs a rebuild and I've been looking for a couple of bits that I know it needs. The most elusive of these is the so called bearing shim, (66-349)not the ones that go between the inner race and crank web but the one that fits between the outer race and drive side case. I believe it has been referred to as an oil flinger or slinger. This was missing from my motor and got rebuilt last time without it cos I couldn't find one, still can't. Anyone know where this item might be available??
The other thing it needs is the primary chain tensioner screw and nut. (67 1266/1268),though I could probably knock one of these up if needs be.

Yes, that one from Mike's looks right as that is what I found for my LS engine; so bearing back out and washer installed. Hope yours comes together well.

Cheers, just calculated the postage from Aus... nearly 3 times as much as the item. Plus import tax as well probably!! Doh.

Kindly ignore me, it would seem that they are not as rare as they were a month or two back, Dragonfly have some for a couple of quid and a few coppers for delivery. Hurrah!!
Though they don't look exactly the same as the ones from Mike's as they appear to be completely flat. Still, saves scratching my head over which way round to install it.

Cheers that's very decent of you, but the postage to Blighty is daft. I've ordered one from Draganfly so hopefully it'll be ok.
I looked for this item a while back and it seemed they didn't exist anymore. Should've looked again before posting the question, duh!
