Title: Brake /clutch levers
Post by: jhg1958 on 08.05. 2021 18:20
Just sorting out my cables and levers.  I have a right mix of bolt most of which are rusty.  What I cannot work out is the thread on the lever handlebar clamp.  The are not 2 BA and the 2BA should fit 3/17 BSC.  So I am a bit of a loss.

I am sure the levers are not original for a 1961 GF as they have a ball on the end but at least I have a matching pair.

I can get replacement pivots for the levers from Dragonfly but does anyone know what the threads are.  It would be great to tidy these up and I am not keen to spend £70 on new levers.

Clamp threads are 1 BA.

Pivots are 1/4 x 26tpi BSF.

Some information below.

Modern repro items may have different threads.
