Hi all, can anyone verify when model changes were brought in? For instance, if a bike is classed as 1960, would the changes for that year have been available from jan 1960 or august 1959? I see a lot of pics of 1959 bikes with 1960 bits on and vice versa. My own frame (which i bought with log book), has a number equating to 1960, and no rear brake light switch mounting plate on the pillion loop (as 1960), yet the logbook says oct 30`th 1959. So, has the logbook gained a replacement frame at some point, or would the bike have originally been 1960 spec yet sold in late `59? I`m referring to the UK market here, in case exports were different.

I think the 1960 model year began in August 1959.
