i just took a cam out of a spare da10 engine,and it has no numbers anywhere,is it possible to id it by the  measurements,overall width of a lobe is 33mm,thickness 24mm,each lobe is slightly raised on one side,

G'day Andy,
                    I might be wrong, but it looks like a 357. I have a few cams in the shed I will look at tonight.
 The best way is to set it up in a lathe with a degree wheel and using a dial gauge work out the timing. 1 degree of the cam = 2 at the crank.

DA10 is a GF engine from 1958-on. According to Roy Bacon, the 1958 Flash was fitted with the 67-334 cam and the 1959-63 models had the 67-356 cam.

If you follow Muskrat's good advice, you can compare your measurements with Table 7, p.209, in Bacon's 'BSA Twin Restoration'.

been to a few dealers and mates,this is different to all standard cams,could be one of the last maybe 358,but could be a one off race cam of a sort,

be a while until i build the engine up,going to get the end feed job,i actually found a 1126 head amongst my bits,having the fins repaired now,as soon as i do i'll let you know.
