Title: A10 with a difference
Post by: Goldy on 18.03. 2011 16:21
There is a nice looking A 10 with a difference on E bay at the moment. Item No 330540370056. I suppose it,s a BSASAKI

That looks like a really fun bike, and to think, it's all original!

I've asked this question once before, but don't recall getting an answer. Why is that many bikes on the UK market are advertised with year, make and color instead of year, make and model? Do sellers say to themselves, "Hmmm, I bet someone is looking for a black motorcycle."

I think you've got it Richard
Lots of blokes look for a bike same as they had when young and colour comes into it

God, that is one pig ugly bike.  *eek* Its neither one thing nor the other.

3 grand for that! It looks like only the lump and tanks would be usable, worth a grand at most and put the rest back on ebay.

I think it's got potential to look pretty good,
if you modified all that hunk of junk for a seat
& made a nice level cafe racer type, cut down that
rediculous exhaust & put a megaphone silencer, I think
she'd start looking the business.
Definately no stopping problems there!

Each unto their own I suppose.
Personally I'd lioke an old book to look old. It could be seen as a "modern take" on an A10, but  Is an A10 motor really let down by the handling of its frame and cycle parts?
Life would be boring if we were all the same

I just can't be doing with the modern style of fitting the seat and exhaust sticking up in the air at 45 degrees. This bike makes it look much worse because it has a "traditional" middle section In my view it looks absolutely ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in love with this bike (but I don't hate it either) but in the spirit of having a log of photos, I'm posting some of them from the eBay listing. (Sorry, e, if it is a specious waste of magnetic memory.)

In my opinion, it just doesn't work, its neither a streetfighter / sportsbike [with only a 45 BHP engine], nor is it a classic. He should fit a Buell engine and have done with it.

If it was chopperised it wouldn't be so bad as at least they were chopperised back in the early 70's. It's just a horrible mixture of conflicting eras which don't work together. I hate it, it actually angers me and I think it should be thrown into the deepest depths of hell.  *eek* Did I just say that.

I think the exhaust spoils it but otherwise to me it looks great.
