Title: A10 with a REAL DIFFERENCE!!!!
Post by: chaterlea25 on 23.03. 2011 22:20
Hi All,
I was at the Carol Nash sponsored Irish bike show a couple of weeks ago,
The Triton and ZB Gold Star I had "worked on" were on show,  panic stations for a week or 2 beforehand to get them ready
Reward today, lovely sunny day and we had the bikes out for some running in miles, 60 or so miles and lunch at Kinsale *smile* *smile* *smile*

This chopped A10 was on display at the show, Different or what???
When does a chop stop being a bike and being an artwork instead????

Cheers

Now thats what I'm talking about. If you are going to do something radical at least do it properly. That one is a beaut.

Definitely a piece of art - though I would not like to ride it!

This bike I definately love.  The whole thing is beautiful, but that paint job on the tank,  OMG! (to borrow slang from my daughter).

The question was (When does a chop stop being a bike and being an artwork instead?). Well I would say as soon as it becomes a chopper as they appear to me to be un ridable, so they are not motorcycles so they must be artworks.
As you may guess I am not a fan, but I have great respect for the skill that is obviously involved.

It certainly is a work of art, I'd hate to know how many hours went into that.
One question though, I wonder why they exposed the dynamo belt?
I think it would of looked better with the solid case, maybe they wanted
that Harley belt drive look,

regards, Cus

John.

Do you have a picture from the left side?  Also,  I'm guessing this bike has it's own website.  Would you haapen to know the address?

HiAll,
Richard, At the show I could not get a good shot of the primary side due to the bikes position on the stand
Hopefully the web pictures will explain all??

The guy who does the painting on my bikes Ger Conlon won first prize with his custom harley, the prize includes a trip to Sturgis to compete in the AMD competition there
If you scroll down through the winners pictures here, http://www.irishmotorbikeshow.com/about/amd-winners/
You can see The "Dresda" Triton that I did all the rebuilding on, it belongs to Martin Conachey, behind it is the ZB34 Gold Star that I did a huge amount of work on *ex*
Oh yea, I supplied Ger with the brass headlamp on the winning bike *smile*
Cheers
