Title: BSA Instruction Manual for A7, A7SS, A10GF and SR
Post by: groily on 28.12. 2007 16:19
A French A7-owning club-mate of mine has passed me a pdf file of BSA's 1959 print of the above, about 30-odd pages. For them as have little or no literature it's quite useful, and I think it is legit material to post without infringing copyrights. A few oily fingerprints here and there, and there are scrawled annotations in metric for those who don't do inches. But all legible.
It doesn't cover bottom end rebuilds and the niceties of small journal and large journal, one piece and 2 piece cranks etc etc, but it has most other stuff. It does include stuff which contradicts the data I have from other places - eg valve clearances for iron heads . . . 10 and 16 or 8 and 10 thou . . . etc.
Many of you probably have it already . . .
For anyone who wants a copy, how the heck do I, as the original computer moron, share it? Tell me how - in Janet and John steps for the retarded - and I'll try to do it. Would our learned moderator like it, with a view to uploading it or creating a link or whatever clever things learned moderators do? Or do we have such things available already in places I haven't been to? Groily.

This is a good idea. Email me the .pdf file, (= attach it to an email, if that is any problem, pm me, I could help), then I'll publish it to the website, and make it available for download or reading from a link in the forum. I've sent you an email to your member reg. address.

btw, the 54 manual is here http://www.a7a10.net/instruction.htm and very good to have the later models info available as well.

Folks,
Have sent Erling the pdf and he's very kindly going to make computer-literate choices! And am just figuring out how to file the '54 pdf - for which link many thanks indeed. Can't have too much data . . . Groily
