Hi,
Can anyone recommend a company that straightens frames - preferably around the Midlands in the UK?
I've a friend with a plunger A10 frame which had an accident - head on into something solid hence the headstock is twisted! Also what sort of costs are involved - approx. would be useful.
Cheers

Hi Roadrunner
Have a look at http://motorcycle-frame-straightening.co.uk/contact-abba-motorcycle-engineering.asp (http://motorcycle-frame-straightening.co.uk/contact-abba-motorcycle-engineering.asp)
Although I can't recommend them I phoned this company once and found them very helpful and although not in the Midlands they did say they collect and deliver, I did not use them, in the end
Preferring to straightening my frame myself (same thing headstock out of line) with the aid of a rope, a fork lift with telescopic boom, several brackets and big rawl bolts.
I hasten to add I would not recommend this method either unless you know someone who has cultivated a fine touch on a fork lift lever *smiley4*

Those folk look the goods, Bill. If it's not too far out I have always used the two blocks of timber and big sledge hammer method *eek*.

I'd be talking to classic clubs in your neighbourhood. My engineer does a lovely job of retubing and straightening, even built me a lovely replica BB32R frame, but not handy for you!
