On the to do list is an upgrade of the dynamo to a belt drive and also better lighting. BUT until then I want to lay in a supply of spare bulbs for the old original 6 volt system. I can't find anything on the headlamp bulb or in the literature I've got as to an ID for the headlamp bulb. And if anyone knows of a source that would help also!
Thanks

Hi Steve,
The above website belongs to Paul Goff, a well known supplier of electrical parts for classic bikes. He runs an A10 himself and has had 2 types of 6 volt quartz hologen bulbs specially made to fit our bikes. The two sizes are 25/25w and 35/35w. I've just received the larger size and it was a pleasure fitting something straight onto the bike without having to modify it in some way. It slotted into place and my headlight is great.
I chose the larger of the two because I have an overcharging problem (how weird is that on a BSA) and I needed some way to reduce the amperage and hopeful prevent the battery from boiling.
However, make sure that your charging system can cope with this sort of bulb. If you're not sure, give Paul a ring and I'm sure that he will be able to advise.
Oh BTW....I have no connections with this guy and this is the first time that I have dealt with him.

Good morning Steve, I agree with everything said by BeezagezzaUk, I got a Led rear bulb and it fitted and worked/works a treat ,been on for 18 mths ,next to no power consumption so when back on road I intend to get one of his headlights ,i'll be guided by Paul with whom I to only have dealings with as a very satisfied customer best wishes BobH

Hi Steve Had my A10 now for about 3 years, when i brought the bike it had a 6 volt halogen headlight bulb fitted. I was surprised how well the light worked. Still running with the same bulb
