My brother in law needs a new battery on this '59 A10 He wants to upgrade to 12 volts, Ok with the regulator as its convertable. What battery fits the tray best. Would save a bit of searching if I use one that has been found to fit correctly. Many thanks. Dave.

i've got 2 6v cyclon batteries wired in series inside a dummy case.

The cyclon batteries fit inside the original battery case but what are the A/hrating. As they are the AGM construction they are a good choice. I was thinking of a stand alone battery that can replace the old case.

Each of my 6v batteries has 5Ah which I believe gives 10Ah *conf*
Elec trickery is not my forte *eek*

I would have thought it's still only 5ah.? ..not my forte either tho'

So to keep my options open, what battery fits nicely on the bike (Battery code please) without using an empty old black battery box? It just seems to be a cheaper option. Thanks.

Hi I did extensive research into which battery to use for my electric start conversion and I found the best available that will fit into the battery compartment is the USA made Westco SVR15 battery which have now been re-branded as WPC15L
It is a totally sealed maintenance free glass matt design.
They are 14AH and will power your lights for many hours even if your charging fails
You only have to bend over 2 tabs on the battery platform to make it fit
