Hi,everyone, does any one know and i am sure there is , what is that horse shoe like thing do on the end of the mag, under the head of the bolt?? is it some sort of lock washer ?? not to clear in the a10 hayes manual ???? and can you stil purchase them, mine is missing.

It is known as a "C clip" & acts as a washer. SRM have them advertised (£2.47) but most mag restorers should have them.

It's a good question, I've often wondered why the 'c' shape. I have also come across two that have been fitted, is just one correct or should there be two? possibly facing each other 'C Ɔ'

Sometimes wondered if it was that shape so that it could be slipped in once the bolt was started, given the intricacies of the bolt design and purposes, however I've always managed to get the thing together with the washer in place, so can't really argue the case
