So, I'm looking at this video and thinking to myself that that landscape looks familiar. Looking up "Crater Camp"' ,it turns out to be in the Santa Monica mountains, about 16 miles from where I grew up in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley. From the Google findings, it seems this might have been a favorite place for the Ekins family, of Bud Ekins fame. He did the stunt jump for Steve McQuuen in The Great Escape and owned the Triumph dealer about three miles from my home. In the 60's I left a lot of drool on the floor next to Bonnevilles in his store.

I don't usually post from FB, but this just popped up on my news feed. I'm pretty sure the Russians didn't put it there.

I spent a lot of time in Bud Ekins' shop in the '60s dreaming of owning a Bonneville.
