Provided it doesn't rub the S/A, I'd be more concerned that it lined up with the front wheel first.

not being an expert on RGS (there's not as many as there appears to be  *smiley4*) but is the S/A a RGS S/A , am I right to think there is a difference

Hi all.....
I am the guy with the RGS rear wheel offset query.

I have been told the correct "offset" for a WM2 Alloy valanced 19" rear BSA RGS rim is a flush straightedge across the crinkle edge to the outer lip of the rim. This measurement is taken on the spline (drive) side.

Can anyone confirm this as being correct?

Regards,

Kim

Hi Kim,
Phone John at SRM or the guys at Brickwood wheels and the will immedietly tell you
The wheel should be central to the frame backbole and ignore the distances betweek the shocke or anything else

Hello, I know that I am 2 years behind but I have just built my rear wheel and CAN confirm that the offset for the QD (Crinkle) hub building on a WM2 19" Steel rim is as Magicflem says in an earlier post above. This is with regard to a 1954 350 Gold Star.

Regards
Pete

The back wheel must be central to the frame. Suggest you set up a laser running down the frame with the rear fender off. The location of the rear wheel is accurately located in this method
