Hi, Got another question, I put new friction plates on the clutch, while tensioning the chain I set it right when I turn over the engine it cycles from loose to tight, any ideas?

Hi Tone, this is usually caused by the chain being worn. Its a bit hard to explain but as a chain wears it gets longer. the distance between the pins becomes greater and as the chain goes around the chain rides up on the teeth of the sprocket until it drops back into the teeth, hence the tight/loose scenario. Try a new chain and see how you go. Brian.

Thanks Brian I'll get one and let you know, cheers.

Hi,
I've had a clutch basket where the hole was machined slightly off centre. If the sprocket hole is off centre, you'd have the same problem. Chain is most likely though.
Cheers,
