Hi, everyone, just want to know is there any possible dodges (if you like ) to hold the clutch centre while the centre nut is tightend to the req torque.
-
Put the bike into top gear and hold the back brake on.
-
Plus I use a rattle gun and red loctite.
Saw a bloke put a broom handle through the spokes to stop the wheel turning *eek*, f'ed two and bent two spokes. *work*
Cheers
ps after 30 odd years of A ownership I still haven't made a clutch holding tool.

Me too Musky, until the last (Hernia repair tearing episode) - now I have a good clutch locking tool.
Rattle guns ( we call them air guns) are good, they have been known to be less than kind to fine threads tho

A good air gun (= air riffle down here) has a few settings. Go up the settings till it strips then back off one *eek*.
Cheers
