Hi, I am restoring a 53 plunger. I have aquired a single seat but have no brackets for it. I have fitted the springs to the frame so get a general idea of how it fits. I have two holes either side in the seat frame at the nose (tank side) of the seat and three holes either side at the rear of the seat. I have looked through previous questions on the forum but can find no correct answer.
I have looked through some sights but can only find the bracets fitted for sale with a seat and the parts manual is also the same.
Could anybody please tell me where they are avaliable to buy or send me a a pic with measurements so I can make them
Many thanks, Nigel K

I bought a generic saddle for my 55 plunger GF. I had to make a U shaped piece from stock mild steel strip for the saddle nose to get the height against the petrol tank that I wanted. I Just bent it up in the vice. I used small nuts and bolts to attach my piece to the saddle frame. If you are really desperate for more detail I will remove my saddle and take some photos with measurements for you; let me know.

Hi Greybeard, I love your previous bike list, makes me very very envious- I would love to have that lot in my garage, I have read them out to my dad who is visiting for a week and he was swooning wondering back through time for a while!!!!!
If you could please I would very much appreciate a picture and measurements of fixings. What country are you in? UK I presume from the previous bikes?
PS^: Very sorry for any spelling mistakes just been for a few (too many= jars of Sangria)
Many thanks

Ok, give me a day or two and I'll upload some pix.

Ok,
I've taken some pictures and annotated some of them. Hope this helps.

The front saddle bolt is a pivot so needs to be a well fitting bolt, (plain shank) rather than a screw, (threaded along whole length). It should be greased in the frame lug and still able to pivot when tightened. I used Loctite on the nut.
