Title: Fuel Mix
Post by: Zak on 21.03. 2014 20:29
Hi Guys,

What mix should I use in a  51 plunger golden flash ?

Do you use red-ex?  If so what amount per full up?

Thanks so much!!

G'day Zak.
The best fuel you can buy, 95 or 98 octane. A lot here use a valve saver of some sort used at the makers specs. If she smokes or fouls plugs I'd 1/2 the rate.
Cheers

In UK?

The cheap stuff, called "premium unleaded."

Don't bother with additives.

Casrol Valvemaster plus

has an octane booster so brings fuel back up to levels that used to be and has a lead substitute, doesn't cost a lot, use at 1 ml per litre.

Lots of differing opinion here and everywhere but I've used it four fifteen years now and not  had any trouble , never had a stale fuel problem or valve recession, some will say I might not have had any bother anyway but it's down to personal choice
