Hi all,
May just be me as new to the A10 and currently rebuilding one.
When I operate the clutch lever drive doesn't seem to disengage.
I've adjusted the cable and operated the lever manually and it still doesn't seem to disengage drive.
Any ideas?

After many years of non-use my clutch plates were stuck together. I stripped the clutch, cleaned the plates, fettled the tangs, very sparingly applied copper grease to the bits that are supposed to slide, (this appears to be a matter of contention!), set up pressure plate to minimise uneven pull-off. Clutch is good now.

Thanks. It's sat for at least 10 years so a strip down is in order I think.

The odd thing is it feels like there's spring tension when operating!?

That's right Shaun.
It will be pushing all the plates outwards in one lump instead of the plates separating. You will need to remove the plates from the clutch basket and separate them manually. Count the number of turns on the spring adjusters as you release them and use that figure as a guide when you reassemble.
Take the advice from Graybeard and make sure the clutch plates separate evenly as you tighten the springs back up. Pull the clutch in and press the kickstarter down. The plates should rotate evenly. Fine adjustment on the springs at this stage will make all the difference to a smoothly operating clutch.
