Title: Steering Stem Lengths
Post by: Nourish on 02.04. 2014 09:34
I bought a headlamp bracket/ fork shroud but when I fitted it to my yokes(off of the bike) the steering stem thread is sticking through the top yoke by over an inch - the shroud seems to be too short, can anyone tell me what lengths the steering stems were for the A10s, I have I believe are plunger ones at 7 1/2" - what are the swinging arm ones?
Cheers

I just measured a spare in the shed...    7 9/16" by me...

I cant tell you the length but can say that I have used what I think is a plunger lower yoke with a s/a upper and the only difference is the steering stop locations, the overall length would be much the same, or at least nothing obvious to my assembly - BUT I have used rollers ilo balls in the headstock which separates the yokes a little more, but the divers helmet still seems to fit ok....are you sure you have an A series shroud? I seem to remember somebody had an issue like this on another thread and it was suggested it may have been a C11/C12 shroud......

Thanks for the replies. Yes it does appear that this shroud is from a different model - I'm waiting for the vendor to get back to me. Cheers
