Title: Primary chain rubbing

Got my primary all together now chain alighnment pretty good seems like duplex primary chain is rubbing cases behind clutch basket I do have a clutch thrust washer installed Do I need a thicker washer seems like the one Im using is pretty thick any one have a good pic of what it should look like??I do have the sloped part facing the tranny I think that is the right way around..

G'day Drew. Probably a silly ? but have you installed the abutment ring (two halves) behind the thrust washer?

No not silly I dont have that part or see it in the book?? Do you have a good pic of how this all goes together like a real time photo??I will be away for weekend but will try to get pics up of what I have sunday.

Hi Drew,
ring looks like this, and fits in the groove on the gearbox shaft behind the chain wheel

I could not find that piece anywhere in my stash I guess I need to order it..This is what I have..

 So just add to Morris, when they arrive, (obviously if in one piece you'll split them) check they fit in the recess in the back of the thrust plate, then hold 'em in place in the groove in the mainshaft with some grease......good luck
