In keeping with trying to keep "Just a Picture" (https://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=7964.0) chat-free, this topic hopefully provides the outlet, which I need right now.
Bill Harrison - beautiful bikes, absolutely! Also, perfect use of Just a Picture.
-
Bill Harrison - You are definitely high on the list of those here keeping the marque alive at a high quality (that I don't pretend to approach). (...but you will need several more if you intend to have the most. *smile*)

I've reached the limits of my shed/garage space unfortunately. Kind comments, thanks.

DITTO.... a lovely stable of bikes to be very proud of... *wink2*

Patcross,
Well, "Just A Picture" has almost worked too well. You totally went with the spirit fo the topic, but this is the first time that I recall a brand new member using it as his first post and intro to the forum. *welcome* That is a perfect project bike. I think I'm not alone wondering how you found it, what made you look for it and whereabouts (approximately) you're located. Again, welcome, and glad you decided to join the forum.

Trevinoz,
Fantastic pictures. Not sure I can recall you posting you collection before. So many things to like about these bikes. Thanks for posting.

This topic is where I (we?) respond to "Just a Picture" to keep the chat out of there. Let me say, there have been many great pictures since I last commented here. Taking nothing away from any of them, the latest from The Engineer is just stunning with the beautiful bike sitting in the snow and a great sky above.

hi guys, Richard can we call you the `Picture Police` and in what capacity do you police these posts, cheers
-
Bob,
Sorry if it seems that I am assuming some authority that I truly don't have. (Meaaning, I don't have any authority.) When I thought of the "Just a Picture" topic, my hope was to get a big collection of pictures of our bikes in one easily viewed place without obliging members to provide a story (which they can, and do, do elsewhere). Here is the first post in "Just a Picture" explaining the idea:
https://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=7964.msg55981#msg55981
If you think this is not a good concept, I would be happy to start another topic called "Pictures of Bikes With Little Stories Which Are About To Become Oil Threads". *smiley4*
Now, if I could, indeed, make rules......... *eek* *smiley4*
Best regards,
Richard L.

G'day Richard.
I often forget (almost everything) this topic.
Well done to all the contributors to Just a Picture.
Cheers

Didn't even know it was there... *dunno2*
Maybe useful if it was made sticky?

No need for that, it's only possible to ride one at at time unless you have family or friends with no bike and they need to go where yougo- but only if they live out of the area- aaaah sorry but it was a quick one

That's a fine herd, congrats.

Tinu,
Sooo, jealous. Best I could do today from here in the flatlands was a 20 MPH ride through the local arboretum. Www.Mortonarb.org (http://Www.Mortonarb.org) . But, when I got home I said to.myself, "Man, that's a damn fun motorcycle."

Tinu, surely a fine scenery, so maybe post the real photo, not a small thumbnail? 1600 x * or thereabout is good.

I like it a lot.

Washed and ready to ride 130 miles to South Wales tomorrow.
For heavens sake GB it’s a camping weekend. You’re supposed to get dirty *smile*
Anyway, have fun. You deserved it ;)

^^^ Just drive at walking pace, then the insects won't splatter all over, just bouncing off :O)

This weekend I'm staying at a B&B, so I'll be in the lap of luxury!

{BTW I’m 6’2”} and 19 stone LOL.
I'll get there one year.

Coater87, in your latest picture I can see that you have the kickstart Cotter pin in the wrong way round, (unless you want the Kickstarter more anticlockwise than normal)
-
Without seeing the pic, I have to say I had mine off the other day and as an experiment, I replaced it the other way which is 'Head' up and nut on the bottom/to rear; reason/logic being that may provide more surface bearing area....because even though it works fine, is a bit deformed as it was. Can post a pic later if need be...definite change in lever angle but not enough to spill my drink over *smile*
-
And he must be 8'6" tall. Pegs so low and break lever at that angle. Just kidding mate. Comfort is the name of the game.
Cheers

All right you two. ;)
Kick start cutter backwards, because that lever beats the road tar out of my exhaust pipes. It's not permanent.
That's the correctly cranked kick start lever. $100.00 U.S. for stripping and new chrome plating. Just picked it up. *smile*
As far as control levers go, I surely hope those are not permanent. Just cheap looking and feeling. Made by Emgo.
I wish these bikes had 1 inch bars, it would be a lot easier to find good quality controls. But I want to say these levers were something like $50.00 for the pair, so expectations should not be too high I guess.

Woot! Lovely job!
-
G'day bsapete.
Long time no see (8 years). Lookin' good mate.
Being a Jag owner in the ACT you'd have to know the Dunsters.
Cheers
-
Indeed I do. You asked me that 8 years ago *smile*
Bought this new A10S with
Peter D’s approval. I’ve owned a few Triumphs since the A7.
61 T110 Cafe and a couple of Bonnie’s (67 TT Special replica and a 68) The TT gave me a hankering for another Scrambler. A genuine one this time.
Cheers,
Pete

GREAT looking machines in this post Richard, a really good initiative on your part *yeah* *beer*….. just need to browse these occasionally to revive the enthusiasm to go out to the shed and fight the weather! One day it'll be finished and I'll post mine too *smile*..

Two birds with one stone. Doctorbugz and Coater87, both looking great (not to take anything away from those I did not mention).

I want to say, from the suburban doldrums, and with more work and chores than allow for riding today, seeing pictures from the New Zealand, England (and other) countryside is a pleasant relief.
