A7 Side Stand
«

My 55 A7 Shooting Star is missing its side stand but the frame does have the braised on lug. I've given up hope of finding an original used part, so can anyone recommend a supplier of a new replacement that is of suitable quality?
Thanks, Roy

I modified a Triumph side stand when I restored my bike. I'm pretty sure it came from Burton Bike Bits. Like you I already had the lug factory fitted to the bottom tube. The stand had the correct dimensions for the top but it was too long. I had to shorten the Triumph stand and I welded a new foot onto the end. I kept watching eBay and eventually managed to buy a NOS genuine side stand. I think someone here had my modified Triumph stand.
