Bsa a7 seat

I've been looking on ebay for a dual seat in to fit my 1961 Bsa a7ss, but they all specify 1954 to 1959. Did they changed the fixing after 1959.

Try Leightons, top quality but not cheap.
Ensure that you have the right mounting set up.
Late seats mounted on 2 right angle brackets bolted onto the side of the rear guard with the same nose bracket as previously.
Also 2 rubber buffers on top of the frame near the battery which sit on the heads of bolts screwed into the threads there.

Hi Keith.
Go and see Leightons, very close to you in Birmingham central, I would see what they could do with your existing seat, my base was rusty, but they shotblasted and repainted and fitted new foam, great job, for £60.00 (My seat cover was okay, so reused).
As Trev commented you have to ensure your seat base fixings match the frame brackets.

Thanks for all the advice.

Received a quote from leightons for £143. They don't have them in stock but will make me one.  The seat that was on the bike when I purchased it appears to be off a plunger or b31 model. I did post some photos of it in an earlier post.

Collected my new seat from leightons on Friday and must say he does a nice job.  The bike is now running nicely, only the colour scheme to sort out.
