The hot 19" tyre these days is the Avon Roadrider.

This was a reply to the 18 or 19" tyre thread, but timed out or something and ended up here.

i love the road riders too and have them on my A-10, though i have to admit if you have 18" rims the bridgestone battle axes (BT-45s) are great tires to

Interesting point this 18"/19" question, since I saw an 18" wheel and tyre in a tyre shop waiting to be picked up and thought how much more 'modern and chunky' it looked compared to mine. One day I'll check out how an 18" wheel and a higher profile tyre will work out re. circumference/gearing compared to my A10 with 19" Roadriders. Anyone already done the maths?

Alan,
Extremely worn out Dunlop Gold Seal K70 4.00x18 stands 66.5cm tall. Try comparing that against whatever you have on your bike now. Its fitted to an AKRONT 18"-2.15-40-S-1094 E

I presume you're ythinking of a rather more modern tyre though.
Cheers,
Iain
