petrol tank
« on: 03.09. 2025 10:14 »
any one know of where i can buy a good quality tank for my A7ss, just bought one from cheshire classics and its crap, paint is coming off the underside and showing rust, the tie bar studs are not straight or level, the filler cap does not fit properly, the chrome plating is poor, its showing signs of pitting having just taken it out of the box. not happy with it so its going back.
dont want another indian tank, not had much luck with those.

For that reason I sought out a genuine BSA tank. It needed a lot of restoration work, but not wanting to compromise on anything, I bit the bullet and had it professionaly restored. It goes without saying it wasn't cheap, but the end result was worth every penny. I am so glad I opted to do that. I had the work done 20 myears ago and it is still pristine. the work was carried out by Lewis Templeton in Coventry. I suppose much depends on what standard you are seeking.

I'm sorry I don't know. Try an online search. There are several people that do tank renovation. If nothing comes on the internet get hold of a something like Old Bike Mart and comb through the classifed adds. Something will pop up
