Thanks all for the welcome. I'm most impressed with topics and responses on the forum. I've decided to do a partial strip (top end) of the engine as time is not pressing, I need to fetch the mag off and get it checked and I'll probably pop over to see Tony Cooper in Blackheath. Apart from being fairly local to me a number of my Velo mates have had work recently done by him and he comes recommended. Did he not have a premises in Harbourne as I recall having some work done by him on a previous 650 BSA I owned? I may start another thread to keep you posted how I'm getting on, this will also give me a bit of a driver to get things done!

I originally purchased the Flash from a friend who was going to use it for spares for his outfit, I think he knocked a fiver of it as it didn't have an MOT. Unfortunately I haven't been in touch with this circle of freinds for 25+ years
