1960 Super Rocket paint colour details

Can somebody please advise the correct red paint for a UK 1960 Super Rocket?

Firstly should it be Royal Red or Chinese Red? Depending on what it should be is there a known paint code or modern car equivalent?

Probably Polly Palmer of Brie-Tie motorcycles can tell you what the paint colour is.     [email protected]  Tel 01558 668579 / 07702 726230. He actually stocks and sells most BSA paint colours. In fact as far as I know he is the only source for BSA paint.  I am however, more than happy to be corrected if anyone knows different.

Will be Royal Red. : 027 ROYAL RED (POST OFFICE RED) BSS 538
RS Bike Paint sell it, but your sprayer will easily locate 2 pack.

Is that the same colour that was used on the Road Rockets?

I think the Road Rockets were in Brilliant Red not Royal Red
