oil ring gap

Have meaured a gap of 0.025" on both oil rings.Would this cause plug fouling

...but if you had that gap on the compression rings there might be reason for concern that the set is the wrong size.

Rings for a bore 10 thou smaller would have something like 45 thou gap.

Uhhh. right. Of course. Get it now; should've immediately. Pi x 0.10 ~= 0.031 then, + ~ 0.014" for correct gap = 0.045"
