Flooding
« on: 06.12. 2015 10:59 »
I just woke up to news of rather bad flooding in the U.K. I hope everyone here, as well as their (your) families and homes are getting through it OK.

Am in the north at the moment. The weather has been apocalyptic with howling gales and lashing rain. Too much for a softy southerner like me.
Not seen any flooding yet though and, Richard, we are so far all OK in this area. Thanks for your concern.

oop North but on the West side I believe (Cumbria, Borders,) nothing around us but a lot of fields sitting with ponds in them.
Wind has been the big problem two days of it (storm Desmond, thankfully gone now)
Electricity been off and on more times than a Hoo***s draws, good news is the tele survived all this rapid off/on (two previous ones blew) mind I have it on two surge protectors in series , not sure if that's to be desired or not but it seems to work

I modified this post as since seeing the news a bit of it was inappropriate I thought

hi guys, I second Richard L,s words, hope everyone stays safe. The whole world could suffer these weather bombs at any time without warning so no smugness from me here in quite nice conditions at the moment, cheers

Missed most of Merseyside thank god ,we got really high winds and heavy rain but nothing like Cumbria ,, poor people up there must be devastated and so close to Christmas.
