I want a solo seat like in this picture.

I REALLY want a solo seat for my '61 like the one in this picture. Ebay has two seats that look about right but they come in two sizes. One is a "thin" that is 12.5" long and 9.5" wide and is 1/2 thick at the front. The "thick" one is 13.5" long and 13.5" wide and 2" thick at the front. Both are 3" wide at the nose. Which one would fit the frame best?

Bonus question: How can I distress a new vinyl seat so that it doesn't look brand new and out of character on an original condition bike?

hope this image loads: http://bsa.hailwood.com/bsa_a10_sr3/images/catalano.jpg

Give it to me for a few days, I reckon that'd look ok on my Plunger RockinFlash *smile*

For a 'distressed' cover I suggest finding some old leather, a well used jacket for example, and making (or getting made) a replacement cover from it.

I've seen at least one very good example but I'm afraid I don't have a photo.
