62 a10 brake light switch

hello, would anyone have an upclose picture of how the brake light switch mounts on a 62 golden flash swingarm model.

Here are some pics of how it mounts.

The switch attaches to the back of the toolbox, thats the single screw in the pic at the bottom of the toolbox. The brake arm has a pin on the back of the short lever that actuates the switch.

this might be pertinent or maybe not, I'm sure I've red A65/50 switches look similar but work the wrong way around, just a warning in case you find this the case.
If yours is fine would you be good enough to tell me where you got it, I've been looking for one for my 61 Flash

mine looks identical to the one pictured. I bought it from smmotorco on ebay.

I finally tracked down a slow discharge of the battery to a dodgy brake light switch. I have only ever had the aftermarket pull switches that clamp to the frame loop and connect to the brake arm with a coil spring. So I was interested to learn about the original type switches (I've only been messing about with A10s since the late seventies!).

Having not found an original type brake light switch I noted someone on here mentioned using a limit switch which seemed a good and cheap solution. So I splashed out £3.98 and one arrived in the post 2 days later. I've screwed it inside the tool box to protect it having first made a small hole for the operating arm to protrude through. A piece of half inch round ally suitablly drilled and tapped off centre provides a quick and easy adjuster so the switch operates at just the right extent of brake pedal travel.

All I have to do now is remember the slim operating arm next time I am man-handling the brake pedal off!

I use a similar micro switch mounted under the front brake lever (hand not hub) on my cafe as I use it the most.

Wouldn't it be easier to use a cable with an in-line switch?
