Any chance of a rundown on the Mikuni specs, size, type, jetting etc?

Hi Jools
just had a look on the bike. Not sure if the type but the numbering reads 301 83. Mind you its tiny so don't trust me!

Pretty sure its a 30mm bore (I haven't got a record but I could take it off to measure if you are really stuck) It originally came with a 175 mian jet which I increased to 185 in light of dyno tests (I run without an airfilter, as does the bike!). Pilot is 25 (aren't they all?!)

Allens website (http://www.allensperformance.co.uk/carb-kit/carb-kit-listings/) give the spec as

VM28-0284-K    VM28    28    BSA    BSA A10 Super Rocket 1958/1959 Replaces 376, 1 1/6″

or

VM30-0041-K    VM30    30    BSA    BSA A10/A65 Super Rocket/Road Rocket Twin VM30

Never tell people your troubles. Half of them are not interested and the other half are glad you're getting what's coming to you.

Thanks Dean, that's helpful. Interesting to see that the 28mm is a realistic option.
(I can imagine the 175 MJ would be rather weak though!)
Goodonya.

I ended up having to take the carb off today to make up a spare throttle cable so can confirm the bore is 30mm.
