Well done, just go out and enjoy. Took mine for its MOT today, passed but my car failed last week on emissions, so new Cat required.

This in the end was my adapted drip tray to avoid the Manuel A/R mag cable yet still do its job. Cut and edge re rolled, crude but effective.I fitted it and left the main jet cover loose so it leaked and it caught all the drips.

The tickler would be another source of drips, and it is a bit offset to the left.

This I didnt know going in ........that no iron heads models had man. A/R .so this coupled with the iron head inlet setting the carb lower compounds this problem ...

No other problems other than difference rocker box studs and head bolts tho.

Well having said no other probs. My valve adjusters are now at an extreme but I dont know if the fitting of the think flange barrels may of played a part in that .

Uh, yeah, but the tickler is a leak you get on purpose.

The thick flange doesn't change the height of the barrels.

Just a thought. Did you use the valves, springs and keepers out of the alloy head in the iron head? This may be why the adjusters are out of whack.

Things that affect tappet to valve geometry, valve stem tip wear, valve recession in head, lapping of rockerbox to head surfaces, grinding of head to barrel surfaces, length of push rods and thickness of head and rockerbox gaskets. So a little bit here and a little bit there can make a big difference in the end.
