Well got 70 miles on her now so time to check everything.

Not looking forward to the rocker box reassembly ..So far no repercussions of the slivers I found on the sump magnet. she aint missed a beat this whole time so Im hoping I find nothing untoward.

Well I re tightened the head bolts , rocker box seemed much easier to do this time around.changed the oil [nothing on the sump plug magnet nor in either mesh filter]No trace of oil leaks so I guess Ill put more miles on her and take her to the ace cafe this afternoon.

Fantastic news! You are obviously pleased with the old girl, (and the motorbike is OK as well!)

G'day polly.
Good news, now enjoy. Be a good boy down at the Ace, no burnouts or ton up.
Ha! Never get complacent with the rockerbox, I've done hundresd and still get stuck now and then.
Cheers.

Now putting my mod hat on. While this thread has been great it's getting a bit (read lot) long. Any further questions/comments please direct to the correct board. Thanks.

hi guys, Polly are crash hats not compulsory any longer over there? I know the turban wearers tried to get away with it but don't know if the law was dropped to allow burka wearers to ride motor bikes, cheers

I'd say Polly's on a service road as against public road so He'd be ok from Mr Plod otherwise Kiwi skidlids  are compulsory still .

yes a non council road ...I have to wear a skid lid [and want too] on a normal road.

Any other adventures or comments will be on the right thread as this one [and I thank you all ] has run its course
