Front lower A10 engine stud.
« on: 28.07. 2016 19:43 »
The part number for the front lower engine stud on my 1957 Road Rocket is 27-6276. It's described as " Front engine plate, exhaust pipe and horn stud". In various parts catalogues, it's described as 8" by 3/8. At 8" long, you can just about get the exhaust brackets on, with about half a nut. There is no chance of fitting the horn bracket as well. Has anyone encountered the same problem? David.

Without looking at mine, I think that the exhaust brackets are hard against the frame lugs without nuts between. There are only two nuts on the stud, the horn bracket is hard against the exhaust bracket.
I hope this is clear.

Hi David,
My engine stud is 8" long with two 7/16" sleeves one each side between the engine bracket and the down tubes. With a full nut either side to hold the exhaust brackets and I still have 1/2" of thread showing on both sides. My horn is mounted under the seat, Hope this helps you.
