So we appear to be saying that the ebay arm will not fit onto the square on the brake pivot. I may just buy another square one and then file it like dutch recommended.

you have the correct arm, you should not need to change it either the shoes are worn or the drum, measure the drum, if more then a few thou over fit oversize linings, but measure the damater of your shoes also
Remember there are linings and there are linings this is a hot topic of debate if yours are working leave them, if not do your homework and get the proper linings, i struggle with modern ones to be honest

Dutch it right at least for the A7 the brakes are 'ok' the levers are out and I was looking for some improvement. The A10 on the other hand was fine until I rode it back from its MOT and the brake is now almost none existent (dont know how it passed). I think it must be contaminated so will pull rear wheel and give it a clean.
