Inner timing cover removal question

I need to change my inner timing cover gasket due to leaks . I have the gaskets but haven't performed this task yet . Anything special ? Line up timing marks on gears ?  Do I need to remove gears , oil pump, etc.?
Will I need a special puller ?  Thanks for any input !

G'day TB.
You will need to remove the dynamo drive sprocket (the big one), thiss is usually tight on the taper, a two jaw puller should get it off, may need some heat. Once that is off it's just 4 screws. When removing the cover keep pressure on that shaft to stop it coming off with the cover, that way all the timing gears stay meshed.

 When popping the Big sprocket off, You may be able to slide a bit of flat bar under each side(radially opposite) of the sprocket/pulley thick enough to hold it out against end-float and tap on the idler shaft (with a nut on loose). worked for me
