Thanks to Klaus who solved my problem between a  1958>62 7" Full Cast rear hub and a  42 Tooth sprocket that would not fit the bolt holes. The sprocket, unmarked with a part, turns out to be for an Ariel Full Width Alloy 56>57 rear hub and bolt holes have a 5/16"  wider spacing.

I can easily get an engineer in Kenya to turn 4 new bolt holes and countersinks in this sprocket, which must be partno 42-6069, that will match the BSA Full Width steel hub bolts.

But what about the rest, i.e. bearings and  matching, spacers etc? Are the two hubs (Ariel Alloy and BSA Full Steel)compatible in width and sprocket mating? Any ideas welcome. SH spares are pure Unobtanium where I live in Africa.

Cheers

Peter,

Please see my posts in the other thread on this topic. (I got confused with the change in the subject name.)

Hi Peter,
I know its hard this diversion, but send it back to Draganfly they change to the one you need.
You have ordered the right Sprocket and they have send a wrong item.
From other dealers I know if the send wrong parts the send you the right part on her own account with giving back the shipingcost.

I gues you'll be unhappy with another solution that maybe work.

cheers Klaus

It would be nice if Draganfly would pick up the shipping, as well, considering Peter is in Kenya (which is almost as far away as Africa).

Wow friends, let me totally absolve Draganfly, I simply used their excellent reference drawings. The offender, so to speak, was a good USAeBay  dealer who simply mistook the sprocket he had,

Oh sure, Bob! You expect me to believe that? Next you'll be telling me Great Britain is an island and the moon is not made of green cheese. (Do I need a smiley here?)
