cush drive nut tool
« on: 30.10. 2016 01:37 »
Now I have a very bad habit  *eek* of using a brass drift and a hammer to tighten my cush drive nut but saw this in a UK Star magazine and with all due apologies have pillaged it for the forum as it looks like a useful addition to any toolbox

A link to the seller would be handy.

I too made my own out of a 3/4 socket and worked perfectly until I bought SRMs hex nut version, excellent piece of kit. Now I can torque it up exactly to 65 foot pounds.   *smile*

I bought a purpose made one from EBay. I used my air rattle gun to tighten the nut.

i also made one out of a socket. i bought the SRM hex drive one but didn't end up using it as from memory I didn't have the right socket to grab it on a 1/2" drive (for torque wrench), so I stuck with the homemade socket and original cush nut.
i can't recall the srm hex size - you'll need one of those sockets too if you go the srm way.

I have not made my own, nor do I have one.

Any type of link to an ebay seller, or even the exact type of Puegot car this fits would be great.

Those cars are not found here, and any information besides "the ones that are 50mm" would be great. *smile*
