QD Hub Chainguard??
« on: 27.05. 2009 15:52 »
Hi

Not that i have reached that point yet, but it have just crossed my mind! I have a RGS / Super Rocket chainguard for the QD Hub and i am just wondering if anyone has fitted one of these chainguards to a swinging arm that has the mountings for the larger chainguard as fitted with full width hubs? i know the QD hub will fit but i know the mountings on the swinging arm are different.

I dont particularly want to change the swinging arm unless i have to!

Any mods required, or am i looking for a new swinging arm?

Regards

Steve

Steve, you will have to change or modify your swinging arm. Apart from chainguard mounts being different, you will need an anchor point for the rear brake torque arm which also is one of the swinging arm mounting points.

Hi Trev!

Bugger not what i wanted to hear but thats life! Forgot all about the torque arm, should have thought about that.... Oh well its a long term project so no doubt i'll find one somewhere.

She's all covered up at the moment I've rebuilt the Engine and gearbox and im gathering the parts for the restoration so thats another one for the list!

Thanks for the reply Trev
