Flipping cold here.
« on: 29.11. 2016 22:30 »
Minus 9 degrees Centigrade in some parts of the UK tonight! It's currently -3 where I live. Not ideal motorcycling weather! :-\

What's the weather like where you are?

Barely got above freezing here in the Idaho mountains today. Road is a sheet of ice. Bikes are in winter storage. Time for wrenching.

The sun came out this afternoon and the roads dried off so I took the 650ss out for a ride. I don't have the BSA plated or I might have ridden it.
It was chilly enough at +8 c.  but OK for an hour long ride.

Given our summer has just started I don't think it's fair us in the Southern Hemisphere comment  ;) , but......if it was winter here in the Wairarapa, it would still be warm enough here to ride even on the coldest of days, well during daylight anyway  *smile*

18C here at 6:30am expected to get to 30C today. I prefer the cooler winter temps of 5C to 15C, I start to melt at 25C. But at least I can ride 364 days a year.
Cheers

As I drove from Banbury to Carlisle and back today, via Prestatyn, it looked very cold outside the van. Matchless G3 delivered and Sportster collected. Just get back in the van quickly before you freeze.

I forgot the bit about the nice arvo Thunderstorm that followed me back to the Ponderosa- belted down for a half hour then blue skies-from now on (thanks Willie)
