The bike had definitely been dropped, probably more than once. You can see where I heated the peg to straighten out an obvious bend in the one that's shown. I'm just not sure about the small twist in each arm that shows up as obvious up-angle in the pegs. It could be tricky to heat the arms enough to twist them. The MAPP gas torch worked for the peg, but the arms are a lot more meat. A small hurdle, I suppose.
Back to the issue of the bike being dropped, the brake crossshaft and the long footrest stud are also bent, apparently from a drop to the left (vs. the right footrest in the picture) but the peg on the left was not similarly bent.
