You know, of course, there is a wide variety of case and component fans that would run more quietly and would not require a hose to be routed into your home office (which, I suppose, might be your shed).

I might have said "My compressor, being a very friendly machine, is about to....."

Also noted that you have at least two Workmates there, and they both look in a lot better shape than mine.

I built my own compressor. It has a 100 litre tank and a 1 hp motor connected to a twin cylinder 9 cubic ft Tram compressor, and it has worked great for the last 24 years. I think the parts cost me around £25. Just one of the perks of living in Blackpool.    *work*  *smile*

If I knew how to post pictures you would be surprised how good it is.

Since we have changed the subject from lurid imagery, I will add that I picked up my compressor from a neighbor's trash at the curb. Likewise spent about £25 (equivalent) on the part to get it running.

Ellis: I hope you didn't think my last comment was directed at your home made compressor! I was talking about Cyclobutchs comment about his Workmates.

Well if you were to shop at Lidl and Aldi you also could have a yard full of manky cheapskate Workmates swelling in the wet!

I was a bit baffled Greybeard. No offence taken.
