Bike-to-Bike communication
« on: 30.04. 2017 01:04 »
I've tried a few different intercom kits over the years, from home adapted walkie-talkies to expensive Autocom sets (?300 a throw!). It seems that technology has moved on, big style, since I last looked at this stuff. I have just bought a BT 1200 Bluetooth interphone / intercom for about ?58. Ebay have got heaps of them e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-BT-Bluetooth-Wireless-Motorcycle-Helmet-Interphone-Intercom-Headset-6-Riders-/161669171210?hash=item25a43bc80a:g:WsMAAOSwd2xXPtPW My mate and I went out and tried it. What a revelation! We were on modern bikes (sorry about that) and were able to have a normal conversation at about 60 m.p.h. more than half a mile apart. Absolutely brilliant!

Most wives don't need an intercom under half a mile!
