Sad news, what a tradegy,  former Moto GP world champion,  killed riding a push bike.

Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

I am not a follower, but certainly is a tragedy. If you knew him personally, condolences. How ironic that it happened while riding a bicycle.

Absolute shame. He appeared to be one really lovely feller.
And pouring over the news right now is the barbaric Manchester bomb. An Arena full of dear teenage girls.

Sad loss.
We seem to loose so many racers and ex racers to freak accidents outside their own sports whether it be MotoGP, road racing, rallying or whatever.
