 Aluminum is dead easy to pronounce a-l-u-m-i-n-u-m ; too easy huh? Problem is you seppos can't SPELL ALUMINIUM

I am almost at the end of my restoration, I spent quite a long time removing the red paint from the pile arms.
I notice that the arms are painted red the same as mine were.
Did I do right to remove the paint or did it come from BSA painted red ?

I think they were picked out in red - certainly a spare cover here is finished that way and the one on the bike was until  it got polished out.

But as ever I think it comes down to personal preference.

The timing cover is a NOS part.  I also have a NOS cover for a SemiUnit plunger.  It is also red.

Creamed peas ??? perhaps you mean mushy peas, some sort of evil potion they make over there and force visiting Lancastrians to eat . Some good beer though, Sam Smiths ,that'll do nicely .

There's a guide on the home page on photo posting
advising to post directly onto the forum avoiding 3rd party hosting

I would greatly appreciate the initial two or more photos at as high a resolution a the forum will allow
